Remember the Anatomy of a Sparkler tablescape I did with my friends Zoie Events & IbiCake in January for Utterly Engaged’s New Year’s Party?
Well Jenny of Alders Photography loved it so much she brought me on to do her friend’s Bridal Shower! She coined it Perfect Chemistry… how clever is that? Jenny added so many great details to my concept, it was fantastic to see it come to life! I definitely wanted to stay as a guest.. I mean, gazpacho served in mini beakers..??!! The shoot was featured on Style Me Pretty today.. check it out here!
Thanks Style Me Pretty!
Earlier this summer my dear friends T & S tied the knot. I was honored to do their wedding florals for them. T knew she wanted a modern wedding, but was open from the very beginning with what I wanted to bring to the table. They got married at the Earl Burns Miller Japanese Garden at CSULB, which was lush all throughout so my florals didn’t need to make a big appearance. Their reception was in the Sculpture Garden at the MOLAA in Long Beach and it was a feast for the eyes… the vivid colored walls, the fun quirky sculptures, the various levels and planes of space… I loved it! We decided to go with white, yellow, green and pops of teal. Please enjoy the photos from Kawabori Photography! Wedding coordinator: Zoie Events.
We decided to go with jelly belly favors, and I helped design the labels. The guest names were on the top of the boxes, and their table numbers were on the front… talk about personalized.
Check out that color. Beautiful shot. T’s bouquet is definitely one of my favorites ever. SO classic and beautiful.
There was a large stage that I dressed up with lots of pomanders… and kept it low to not obstruct the band or slideshow screen. Lots of flower balls.. what better way to incorporate florals in a sculpture garden?

The bridal bouquet consisted of peonies, Avalanche roses, freesia, gardenia, and English garden roses hand picked and cut fresh from Rose Lane Farms (RoseLaneFarms@SBCglobal.net) which is locally grown in North Hollywood. Lynne is wonderful to work with! All of the garden roses and garden peony roses were from her garden. They smelled as delightful as they looked. I was in Heaven and can’t wait to use some for my own wedding!
Isn’t she lovely?? And the cutest, sweetest flower girl with her pomander of sweet william.
Cheers to a wonderful adventure for the rest of your lives, R & D.
